47 Provide ‘easy access’ to project information and trainings. Make sure that ‘easy access’ is a shared perception by both project initiators and participants. Design and run usability. Consider different issues related to access to technology (physical, motivational, and actual usage). This includes access to internet and smartphones, motivations to use technology, and restrictions for actual use, e.g., due to high usage costs. Evaluate new technologies with make-versus-buy and cost–benefit analyses, paying particular attention to reliability and ease of use. When possible, adopt well-established, well-documented, and well-supported technologies. Consider interoperable, customisable, open-source solutions where possible. Follow best practices and use standardised data-collection and data-management protocols where available. Help participants overcome technical challenges 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
